I'll be honest, I was very surprised by how good the food was here. Ashtabula doesn't exactly come to mind when I think of fine dining, but Bascule Bridge pulled out all the stops. We loved the ambiance, our waiter was hilarious and attentive, and every dish we ordered was phenomenal. I also loved seeing the chefs working were women, more power to you ladies! Thank you for making my birthday dinner fantastic. We'll definitely be back sometime when we're in the area!

This place is a Michelin star worthy restaurant. I've been to the best restaurants from London to Paris to NYC to Tokyo, and this ranks up there with all of them. The service is great without being pretentious. Holly was sweet, friendly and very attentive to our needs. We went on our 20th anniversary and we're treated like royalty. We had the Crab Cakes and Beef Bolognese to start with. The Crab Cakes, like everything we ate, were perfectly balanced in flavors. The cakes were delicate, with a freshness you wouldn't expect. The layers of flavor were amazing, and each dish was completely unique. The jalapeno slaw was crunchy with a little spice, the remoulade was creamy and refreshing. The perfect balance of acid was added with a pinch of lime (or lemon) juice on the cakes. The Beef Bolognese had perfectly cooked pasta, with tender chunks of perfectly seasoned and cooked beef. It was mouth-watering, and a crispy garlic panko topping added a nice crunch, albeit subtle and not overwhelming. For the main courses, we shared the scallops and lamp chops. The scallops (5 big scallops) were again perfectly cooked, with a combination of red pepper, almond and saffron with tomatoes melted in my mouth and made me want more. The lamb was also perfectly rare, with sumac mint salsa Verde was incredible. The tender meat and perfectly balanced flavor profile was unique and amazing. It was hard to share because we both wanted all of everything! The side dishes includes an amazing parsnip puree that was like creamy heaven, brussel sprouts a little al dente as I like them, and my wife's green beans. Each was delicious and complimented the meals. We topped it all off with the chocolate pot de crema was again perfectly balanced, rich and not too sweet or heavy, but decadent in the chocolate custard. I had the strawberry parfait, which was lady fingers soaked in cognac, with a light creme. It was again understated, smooth and decadent. Nothing was too heavy, and even the three courses didn't leave us feeling lethargic or over stuffed. I wish we lived closer so we could go for every special occasion. With reasonable prices, including the delicious cocktails, we'd go in a heartbeat.

The highlight of my meal which I highly recommend. The location by the bridge added a unique charm to the evening, making it a memorable dining experience. Overall, I was very impressed with both the food and the service, and I would definitely recommend Bascule Bridge Grille to anyone looking for a great meal in a pleasant setting.

I absolutely recommend this hidden gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming family-owned restaurant, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambience wrapped around us like a cozy blanket, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. Our waiter was nothing short of exceptional. His impressive knowledge of the menu was evident as he expertly guided us through each dish, sharing insights that made our choices even more exciting. His welcoming demeanor created a genuine sense of hospitality, making us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food—simply outstanding! Each dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. My wife, Francis, savored the filet mignon, while I indulged in the perfectly seasoned lamb, both presented with an artistry that made every bite a delight. It’s truly rare to find a place that combines stellar service, a cozy atmosphere, and mouthwatering cuisine at such reasonable prices. If you're in search of a memorable dining experience that checks all the boxes, look no further. When you srr in Geneva on the lake, this restaurant is a must-visit!

My wife and I made our first visit and we are already planning to return with friends; some things need to be shared. We celebrated our anniversary in the Harbor for the second year and are so glad we came back. We benefited greatly from Molly who took incredible care of us. Her knowledge and honesty about the menu made all the difference to us. She was well versed in pairings, additions, and alterations. Our meal began with the Confit Tomato and Gruyere Tart. The balance of the acidity and savory was spot on and the pastry crust was delightful. For our entrees, after much deliberation, we both chose the Dry Aged Pork Chop. A thick cut chop with a coffee rub (roasted across the street) and paired with their BBQ sauce. The bone-in chop was prepared to perfection, a great grilled rub crust and juicy inside. My wife enjoyed the BBQ sauce, I preferred a couple dunks but the meat was too good on its own. Sauce on the side was the way to go. We paired our chops with the fried Brussels sprouts and the whipped potatoes. Wow! The entree portion was the perfect size to make dessert a comfortable option. Being our first visit, we jumped on two of Molly’s suggestions: Chocolate Pot de Creme and the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was fantastic, and with all necessary respect to Corbo’s, rivals any we’ve ever had. The portion is large enough to share. The Pot de Creme, was delicious and Molly suggests adding hazelnut and sea salt. The addition put the dessert a solid step up on the flavor profile. The drink menu has many appealing options; I enjoyed the Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat and my wife got the Keep’s Pleasure. Bascule’s decor is upscale and the dining area is intimate. I’d suggest a reservation to ensure you get a table when you want one. Ask for Molly, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Molly, and staff, for making our experience so enjoyable.

Just visiting the area and this place was recommended by some locals. To say it did not disappoint is an understatement. In fact it was one of the top dining experiences my wife and I have had in many years. The filet was arguably the best I’ve ever had. Everything we tried was tremendous. Great service and atmosphere. Cocktails were excellent, and the food? Wow!!

Multiple 5 star experiences...this is our favorite restaurant in town. They have consistently wonderful dishes that change seasonally. The cocktails are wonderful as well. This time I tried the black cod- which I highly recommend. The hot honey Paloma has the perfect level of heat. The side of Brussel sprout is highly recommended as well!

Probably the best meal of my life! From the charcuterie board to dessert and everything in between, absolutely fantastic! The stand out from all the phenomenal dishes was shockingly the arugula salad! We were in town visiting and am disappointed we won't be able to make this a staple in our lives!
